Compro ("we", "our", "the tool") is a free browser-based image compression tool available at imgcompro.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and how.
1. Your Images Are Never Uploaded
All image processing happens entirely inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your image files are never transmitted to, uploaded to, or stored on any server. We have no access to the images you compress. This is a fundamental design principle of Compro, not just a policy.
2. No Personal Data Collected
We do not collect, store, or process any personal information. No account, email address, or registration is required to use Compro. We do not track individual users.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand general, anonymous site usage (visitor count, country of origin, pages viewed). This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out at any time at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
4. Google AdSense Advertising
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing history and interests. These ads are shown on our webpage — they are never embedded into your compressed images.

5. Third-Party Services
Compro loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google Fonts may log the request including your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
6. Progressive Web App (PWA)
If you install Compro as a PWA, a service worker caches the app files locally on your device for offline use. No personal data is stored in this cache — only the app's own HTML, CSS and JavaScript files.
7. Children's Privacy
Compro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
